New Book Announcement
Yesterday I posted a tweet that I would be making an announcement about another possible upcoming book release for later this year. However, I don't want to go getting too far ahead of myself since I AM still in all the workings of ACROSS THE STARS AND ASHES (The Guardians of the Night #3) and that title is on a definite deadline as of right now.
With that being said, there is a (very) tentative release date for a new title:
Expected December 17, 2013 (if it doesn't make that release date, a definitive release of late winter 2014 will be set in place)
What is this title?
(There are mature themes and language, and *some* sexually graphic scenes--though not to be seen as romantic during these instances--involving flashbacks. This title does not focus on sex despite the NA category and would probably be safe to read for ages 16+ depending on the reader.)
I've been working on this manuscript for over a year now between others, and I'm excited to share it. It's actually outside of my normal writing area, but I've had a lot of fun with it, and a long back-story that I won't get into that involves a lot of the plotting to it. Anyways, I hope you enjoy when it comes around. :)
Thanks so much, everyone!
With Love,
Pixie

CHASING DIRT ROADS
Expected December 17, 2013 (if it doesn't make that release date, a definitive release of late winter 2014 will be set in place)
What is this title?
CHASING DIRT ROADS is a Contemporary, Romance/NA.
When Kenley Brooks moved to Lovely Heights, Mississippi, she didn't expect much. It was just another move added to her list of countless others. Tired of running and tired of taking care of her alcoholic mother, Kenley just wants to start her new life at eighteen. She wants to become the photographer she dreams of being and settle down in a permanent residence without any fear. But already she's feeling stifled by the tiny southern town her mom has moved them to...until she meets Cooper Reed.

And the title of book three is...
First off, I want to thank everyone for the continued support and encouragement during the past year. I know I'm not some amazing potential best-seller or anything like that--but I love writing and will always continue doing what I love. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything. You all have helped me grow and learn.
With that, I'm happy to announce the expected release date for the final installment of the last book of The Guardians of the Night trilogy and the title!

Book Two--- Now Available!
Amazon released just a tad earlier than I expected. Normally, I have to wait a period of time once I press that button (somewhere around 3-4 days) and instead they went all Speedy on me and was done in less than twelve hours. Ha! That's alright, though. :)
So, without further ado:
Through These Wicked Nights, book two of The Guardians of the Night trilogy, is now available!
Unfortunately, for the time being, it's only available through Amazon. Nook will come later when the exclusivity is up. Sorry Nook people. I had to go through the same thing last year with the first book. Luckily, it won't take as long this time around.
Also, I'm here to announce some special offers!
For Sunday and Monday, you can get Through These Wicked Nights absolutely free! Haven't read/Don't have the first book? Darkness Comes This Way is a fixed low price of only $0.99. So, you can technically get two books for just $0.99. Not a bad deal, right?
Are you a book blogger?!
If you're a book blogger interested at all in reading and reviewing The Guardians of the Night for your blog, Amazon, and Goodreads, I will always provide free e-copies to you in PDF, Mobi, or ePub (ePub is only available for Darkness Comes This Way at the moment). I love bloggers, since I'm one myself, and appreciate all the hard work they put into everything.
So, if you're a book blogger and you're interested, don't hesitate to contact me at miss.pixie08@gmail.com
Also-- understand there's absolutely no obligation for a positive review when you receive a copy. I'm happy with any review I get, even the negatives. REALLY. <3
Thank you everyone for the continued support and don't forget about the free promotion Sunday and Monday for Through These Wicked Nights!
More announcements coming soon!

Pixie

Cover Reveal!
First, I want to thank the group of wonderful bloggers for participating in the cover reveal. You're all so awesome for taking part and I appreciate it so much! ^^
I also want to give a big shout-out to Taylor at Thoughts of an Endless Dreamer. If you didn't know, she's the cover designer and I think she did a fantastic job!
Credits also go to model Lynn West and photographer Julia Starr at Night Fate Photography for the permissions and awesome photo!
Without further ado, check out the cover for book two in The Guardians of the Night trilogy, Through These Wicked Nights:
Another quick announcement I'd like to make: September 7th until September 8th, if you're interested, you can get the first book, Darkness Comes This Way, for free on Amazon. It's my own way of celebrating both the cover reveal of book two and my birthday with everyone. Hope you enjoy!
Have a fantastic rest of the week, everyone!

Without further ado, check out the cover for book two in The Guardians of the Night trilogy, Through These Wicked Nights:
The world isn’t the same anymore. Not since humans discovered vampires are real. Zarah and her new team of Guardians barely escaped and are in hiding. What once was her job of protecting them, now she is stuck cowering away as a new threat emerges from the humans: Hunters. War is approaching. To add to her list of growing problems, a group of Fallen have been living in The Compound. Seth is one she can't seem to resist. He teaches her a lot about the side of her she's never known about until recently. Draven has grown cold and distant again since the battle with Nathanial, and she is left feeling conflicted. These are the least of her worries though. Something else is up. A video is discovered with a shocking revelation, and Zarah has a feeling things are about to go haywire.
Everything is crashing down around her. If she doesn't do something soon, they all will suffer the consequences. Even if it means destroying her beliefs and extinguishing what little compassion she has left. --Goodreads

News! :)
It's really nothing to brag about, but I've been smiling all day because of it anyway.
Today, I found that Darkness Comes This Way is ranked #69 in the Amazon Kindle Store in vampire fiction. ^^ Technically, that's considered "bestseller", but I won't put that label on myself. It just doesn't feel quite right, I guess. It's only an indie/self-pub. And it's only in that certain category. I'm probably the only one who thinks that way, too....
Anyways, I wanted to post a short message saying thank you to everyone for the continued support. Bloggers, reviewers, readers...you're all fantastic and everything you do is highly appreciated. <3 <3
Another short announcement:
In about two short weeks, the cover reveal for Through These Wicked Nights (The Guardians of the Night #2) is happening! So exciting! I can't wait to share it...actually, to be more specific, I can't wait to see it myself! I haven't even seen it yet (though I will see it before the scheduled reveal of course). :P If you're a blogger and interested in participating in the cover reveal for your own blogs, let me know.
With Love,
Pixie

The Night Unleashed
Today, July 3rd, my short story collection was released into the wild. It's only an ebook and sold on Amazon and Barnes & Noble. It's not long--approx. 55 pages, with a total of four short stories to read and (hopefully) enjoy. Though it's not of the YA classification, there's not really any content that I can say would be harmful. It's best suited for readers 15+.
But what exactly is so special about The Night Unleashed?
Well, if you've read Darkness Comes This Way, I have some exciting news for you. One of the short stories placed in this collection is a special one. It features Zarah and Thomas! And the best news of all: this small e-book collection is permanently set at $0.99!
However, like any new author, I'm always looking for straight-forward honest reviews. They help. If you're interested in being a reviewer of this short story collection, go up to my contact page and drop me an email. I can provide a PDF or MOBI format in exchange for honest reviews posted on Amazon, Goodreads, B&N, and blogs. Thanks! :)

Pixie

Title Reveal!
Today is the official title announcement for The Guardians of the Night, Book Two.
So without any further delay….
Excerpt:
As if reading her mind, someone did barge into her room a few seconds later without bothering to knock. She’d have to remember to start locking her door from now on she thought to herself with a frown, but remained buried beneath her pillows and didn’t look up to see who it was. She didn’t have to look up to know. His scent was enough.
“Intend on staying in bed all night?”
Zarah heard Draven’s tender voice beside the bed. She could picture him smirking down at her as she laid there tangled up in the sheets on her stomach. Her hair was in a disarray, and two pillows haphazardly covered her head while her arms dangled at the sides of the mattress. His usual sweet scent of cherries hit her senses, sending a reminder of the growing hunger inside her. She slowly rolled over and looked up at him with tired eyes.
Draven wasn’t smirking as she had pictured. His expression was blank, cold. She missed his smile.
“Are we going on rounds?” she asked hoarsely.
He shook his head and then sat down on the bed without bothering for an invitation.
“No. It’s been decided that it is probably best for our own safety we should all stay in the confines of the Compound for a while.”
“Then why are you even here?” she snapped angrily, yanking her covers from beneath him and laying back down.
“I heard you scream.”
Scream? Zarah frowned. She didn’t remember screaming, but apparently she had when she’d fallen during her dream. Daring a glance at him again, she no longer saw the coldness and saw genuine concern in his eyes as he continued to stare down at her in silence. He was waiting for her explanation. She swallowed nervously.
“Yeah, I guess I might’ve. I fell out of bed.”
Draven pressed his lips together.
“Zarah, you do know that we are supposed to be a graceful species don’t you?”
(My formatting doesn't translate well into the post, so sorry about that. Haha.)

DCTW Blog Tour Updates & More
First I want to give a big thank you to all the hosts, as well as the readers. You've all been great. I've had a blast so far with the book tour. There's been some fun interviews, neat guest posts, and even more upcoming fun that I hope everyone has been enjoying also. In case you've missed anything, drop by this page and see the list of links where you can go back and visit to read the posts. :) There's still a few stops left of course, so keep an eye out for those.
Now that little bit is out of the way, I have some short announcements.
The title for Guardians of the Night Book Two will be officially announced on June 30th along with a short excerpt and the blurb. Please don't expect the cover. The cover IS being worked on, but will not be revealed until September. The release date is expected for January 8th, 2013 but there's a possibilty it could be as early as late November-mid December (and I'm sure not many people will complain to that anyway). Here I just released the first book last month, and I'm already talking about the second book. Can you believe it? I kind of can't myself. It's a bit surreal. The year goes by fast though so I have to plan ahead. :)
At the end of July, I will be publishing a short story collection. It will not be YA. It will not be available in print and will only be found in e-book format through Kindle (maybe Nook as well at a later date if there's interest), and will be at a constant flat fee of $0.99. I'll also be announcing the title, as well as doing a cover reveal, on July 1st. Be sure to drop by and have a look. :) If you're interested afterward and would like a review copy, I would be willing to provide them in exchange for HONEST reviews (I'm extremely serious about honest reviews. I love my bloggers. You don't have to be scared of offending me. Ever.).
Alright, I believe that's it for now. Haha. I'll update again soon! <3

I have an exciting announcement to share. Today the paperback of Darkness Comes This Way released (earlier than expected haha because I had everything ready) so now you can not only get the Kindle copy, but the paperback copy as well!
The links are up on the right side to my E-store where you can get the paperback copy, or you can order it from Amazon as well if you'd rather.

I also guestposted recently at Book Review Club where I talked about my silly love of these blood-suckers.
I hope everyone is having a fantastic week!
